Obituary of J. Daniel Farragut

James Daniel Farragut, a skilled roofer and dedicated family man, passed away on November 9, 2024 at the age of 70. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Jane Farragut of Lafayette Hill, PA. Dan spent his time between Blue Bell, PA and Tequesta, FL where he enjoyed his passion for golf. Dan will be fondly remembered for his kindness and devotion. Dan is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Janet (nee Kroupa); children John of Evanston, IL, Jeffrey of Blue Bell, PA, and Jane and husband Daine Muller of Bozeman, MT. He is also survived by siblings David (Gretchen) Farragut and Deborah Worstall; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at St Peters Lutheran church, 3025 Church Rd, Lafayette Hill on Saturday, November 16; visitation 9:30-11am, service at 11am. Burial will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Lownes Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to J. Wood Platt Caddie Scholarship Trust (plattscholar.org), St John Lutheran Church 1802 Skippack Pike, Blue Bell, or the charity of your choice.
