Obituary of Beverly Catt
Beverly Jean Webster also known as Beverly Catt (née Rising) passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, at the age of 86.
Born on April 13, 1939, in Danbury, Connecticut, Beverly spent her early years in Springfield, Massachusetts before eventually moving to Southern California, where she built her life and raised her family.
Beverly was, at her core, a true people person. Outgoing, fearless, and full of energy, she was happiest when surrounded by others. She loved entertaining and had a natural gift for connection. Conversation, laughter, and lively gatherings brought her to life. People lit her up.
She had a deep passion for sales and the art of persuasion. Over the years she sold many products and services, but what she truly excelled at was connecting with people. She brought enthusiasm, confidence, and a “can-do” spirit to everything she pursued. In addition to her career pursuits, she developed into an accomplished Toast Masters Speaker. Her positive outlook was not just a personality trait — it was a philosophy. She believed in looking forward, staying optimistic, and facing life with courage.
Beverly was a devoted mother to her daughter, Cheryl Webster, and her son, Mark Webster. Through her example, she instilled in her children a strong mental outlook and the importance of approaching life with confidence and positivity. Her influence lives on in them.
She was also a proud grandmother to Ashton Webster and Krista Webster, and she was overjoyed to become a great-grandmother to Everett Robin Smyk Webster, born December 29, 2025, the son of Ashton Webster and his wife, Michelle Smyk. Welcoming Everett into the world was a special blessing in her final weeks.
Beverly is survived by her twin brothers, Ron and Don Rising. She was preceded in death by her former husband.
A woman of Protestant faith, Beverly’s life was marked by resilience, independence, and an unwavering belief that life should be met with energy and optimism.
She will be remembered for her warmth, her fearless spirit, her love of people, and her enduring “positive, can-do” attitude — a legacy that will continue in the lives of all who knew her.
