Obituary of Joyce Wallis

Joyce Marie Vasoli passed peacefully on Thursday, February 12, 2026. A devout Catholic, her family takes great consolation in the knowledge that she now resides among the saints.

Joyce was born in Philadelphia on November 30, 1929, to John Vasoli and Isabel Simon, first generation Americans whose parents immigrated from Northern Italy, Western Russia, and Germany.  Joyce was the youngest of four children and was preceded in death by her parents and her three older brothers: Edward, Raymond, and Robert.

In July 1956, Joyce married Constantine Joseph Boyle, and they were blessed with a son, Constantine Robert. Following Constantine Joseph’s passing in 1965, Joyce later married William Roy Wallis Jr. in 1968. Her family grew with the birth of her son, William Wallis 3rd, and the adoption of her daughter, Sharon Wallis Alexander.

Joyce was a constant, involved presence in every community she called home. Whether singing in the church choir or participating in local women’s clubs, she built lasting connections wherever she went. Additionally, Joyce dedicated much of her life to the family business, Vasoli Electric, where she cherished the years spent working alongside her brothers and extended family.

A love for traveling, Joyce looked forward to her annual trips to the Poconos and Cape May. She had a lifelong passion for music, theater, and literature, but nothing surpassed her love for her family. She was a fixture in the lives of her three children and her six grandchildren: Jonathan, Stefanie, Kaylee, Zachary, Liam, and Loralei. Her warmth and devotion will be dearly remembered by her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and the many friends who were like family to her.
