Charles J. Pastorius, age 77 of Lafayette Hill PA, died Saturday (12/17) at his home in Lafayette Hill, surrounded by his loving family. He was a Retired High School Teacher for the Archdiocese of Phila.
Mr. Pastorius was born in Norristown, PA, the son of the late Charles and the late Ellen Collins Pastorius.
Charles was a graduate of West Catholic H.S. where he played football as a star lineman and became All City, All Catholic and All State.
In 1952 he entered Notre Dame with a scholarship and then due to an injury he had finished his education at Villanova Univ.
Charles went on to work in the insurance business and then onto teaching for the Archdiocese of Phila. at Lansdale Catholic where he was an assistant football coach for them. He then went onto teach at Bishop McDevitt H.S.
In the summers Charlie worked as a salesman/driver for Coca Cola.
Charlie was a member of Saint Philip Neri Church in Lafayette Hill along with being an avid Phillies and was a true devoted family man and will always be known for his great sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife Mary Elizabeth O'Donnell
one daughter: Elizabeth M. Pastorius of Skippack, PA
two sons: Christopher J. Pastorius (Tina) of Forrest Hill, MD, Michael C. Pastorius (Camela) of Collegeville, PA
two sisters: Shirley Reddington of Phoenixville, PA., Irene Piermatteo of Bradenton, FLA
3 Grandchildren- Patrick, Brooks and Alex.,
** he was predeceased by his daughter Sheila C. Pastorius in 2004.
Friends may call Wednesday 12/21/2011 from 9:30-11AM at Saint Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA..
Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am
Burial will be held privately in the Calvary Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are by the Lownes Funeral Home of Lafayette Hill.
