Obituary of Virginia M Boyle
Virginia “Ginger” Boyle passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 22nd, 2023, surrounded by her family, after a two-year battle with cancer. Born in Teaneck, New Jersey on September 21st, 1951, she grew up in Monmouth Beach, New Jersey, and attended Red Bank Catholic High School. From there, she went on to Johns Hopkins Nursing School in Baltimore and began her steadfast dedication to her patients over her 30-year career in nursing. She worked in many facets of nursing, spanning the emergency room in New York City to her final role in hospice nursing before retiring.
She channeled the compassion and empathy exhibited throughout her nursing career into what she considered her most important position: being a grandmother to three beautiful children, Danny, Sean, and Molly. She got no greater joy than being Grammie to her grandchildren. During retirement, she was also involved in eucharistic ministry at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, as well as volunteering for several area foodbanks.
On Sunday, she joined her parents, Stanley and Mary, and her siblings, Ellen Jones, Kathleen (Kathy) Dunford, Francis (Franny) Jones, and Stephen (Fudd) Jones. She is survived by Mary Ann Dormandy, Sam Jones, Richard Jones, Robert Jones, Elizabeth Smith, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Her husband of 46 years, Mike, four children (Mike, Jim, Katie, and Mary Pat), and grandchildren (Danny, Sean, and Molly), will carry closely the memory of her love. Ginger was truly an incredible woman, who loved her family fiercely and touched the lives of so many.
Ginger’s services will be on January 30th, 2023, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Lafayette Hill PA, with a visitation from 10-11am, followed by mass and a private luncheon for family. She will be interred at St. John the Evangelist Cemetery in Pittston, PA, on February 4th, 2023.
