Obituary of Marjory Johnson

Marjory Wentz Johnson left us on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at the age of 83. Marge was a resident of the Masonic Village in Lafayette Hill, PA. She will forever be remembered for her laughter and love.

Born on August 6, 1940 at Chestnut Hill Hospital, Marge spent her childhood in Flourtown, PA and attended Springfield High School. She married Kenneth Johnson on September 22, 1962 and raised two daughters, Jennifer and Laurie. Ken and Marge were happily married until Ken’s passing in 2008.

During Marge’s long career, she held administrative roles at Seaview Petroleum, Montgomery County Community College, the Hershey Medical Center, and (by far her favorite employer) the Frank J. Tornetta School of Anesthesia. She also served as a barista at Hershey Chocolate World.

Marge is survived by her daughters Jennifer (Kevin) Lydon and Laurie (Scott) Armstrong; grandchildren Taylor Merritt, Scott Armstrong, Mitchell (Alyson) Merritt, Emily Armstrong, Katherine Armstrong, and Thomas Armstrong; nieces Catherine (Richard) Dattola and Carolee (Greg) Deuel; along with extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.

Family and friends will come together to remember Marge on Thursday, August 8th at Lownes Family Funeral Home in Lafayette Hill, PA. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating to Christ’s Lutheran Church in Oreland, PA.
