Obituary of Alice B. Frearson

Alice B. Frearson age 95 of Glenside passed away on September 3, 2024 at the home of her grandson David Frearson Jr.. She is the daughter of the late Harry and Laura Barnhill (nee Palmatary), and wife of the late Thomas H. Frearson III. Alice devoted her life to God, her church, her husband, and family. In her younger days, Alice taught Sunday school and often had bible studies in her home. Alice and her husband Tom often opened their doors to foreign seminary students. John Guest was one of those students who became a life long friend. Alice also volunteered for many years at The Bird in Hand consignment shop in Chestnut Hill and the Bee Hive Thrift Store in NE Philly. Alice is survived by her daughter Susan F. Buckman (William), her nine grandchildren Dave, TJ, Jeff, Benjamin, Jonathan, Sarah, Jane, Andrew and Emily and 17 great grandchildren. Alice was predeceased by her husband Tom Frearson, her daughter Ellen Osborn, and her son David Frearson. A memorial service will be held at Oreland Evangelical Presbyterian Church (OEPC) located at 1119 Church Rd, Oreland, PA 19075 on Friday 9/6/2024. Family greeting will begin at 10:00, followed by a service at 11:00 and internment at George Washington Memorial Park. Alice believed in giving back, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to OEPC, and write on the memo "in memory of Alice Frearson".
