I knew Adele for a very brief period of time. I was one of her home care therapists. She was an amazing, motivated, intelligent and independent woman. I feel privileged for the opportunity to have worked with her. I have just now seen the notice of her death and also the notice of her life celebration which occurred last month. If I had known I wished that I could have been there. My thoughts and condolences are with her family and her friends especially Della who was extremely caring and supportive of Adele.

I am so sorry to hear of her passing, I had the a wonderful opportunity to play for both Ms. Brusch (Springfield H.S.), and then go to Ursinus and play for Ms. Boyd..I called it a B2...2 of the best coaches and life sculpters ..I had a hard childhood and Ms. Brusch knew that Ursinus was best for me because Ms. Boyd was there..and as always was not only on the field but in my life...I am eternally grateful and have patterned my life after my mentors...I became a teacher and field hockey coach and only wish that i can be 1/2 of what they are.. Thank You

I played many spots with Ms Boyd as my coach at Cheltenham High. (Class of '62) She was wonderful and I'm so happy to have known her.

Adele was active at her local library, which is where I met her. She was a ray of light, a no-nonsense woman full of optimism and clarity. She was just plain fun.

Im so very sorry of the passing of a dear loved one, Adele making this a very difficult time for all who knew and loved her deeply. But there is another person who knew her very much too and that person is God and His Son, Jesus Christ, in which God will instruct to resurrect Adele back to life again and how do we know this? Well, we dont have to look far, we just need to look into God's Word the Bible. In it, there is a very comforting message of real hope, found in the Bible book of John chapter 5:28,29 in which Jesus Christ is speaking about a future promise he will keep in that he will use the power His Fathers has given him to resurrect the deadand give them all the oppprtunity to live forever on a peaceful earth, like the Bible reads at Psalm 37:29 and so that many of you will be able to welcome her back to life again and if ever anyone of you would ever want to investigate exactly what the Bible really teaches, then, I encourage many of you, to visit our free website, jw.org amd there you will find many things that will fill yr hearts with so much joy and awe, as the Bible grabs hold of you and gives you a glimpse into what God has in store for our future.

Adele was a wonderful, humble woman. I knew her through the Jeanes Library when she was active there. Never knew all that about her life. She was friendly, helpful, and had so much energy. She will be missed by many. My special condolences all of you who were so close to her! I pray that God will grant you peace and comfort as you mourn her passing.

Even though I was not on an "Adele Team" she was one of the pillars of the sport for me. I was influenced by her at sports camps, play days, games and events that support the education of a player. I'm sure all the athletes, coaches, officials and others involved felt her presence this way. Adele was kind and easy to make a connection with. I am sad with her passing. Also, appreciative of her long and important contributions to our sports and athletic community. Thank you Adele.

Having formerly been a “Snellbelle”, I played on Adele’s first varsity field hockey team at UC. Over the decades as I returned to UC to visit, I was always greeted with Adele’s signature smile and true compassion. She always made time to catch up with what I was doing. I figured that many of us would someday be attending her 100th b-day party.
We have lost a true champion. RIP Adele!!

“Teachers who put relationships first don’t just have students for one year; they have students who view them as “their” teacher for life”. ~ Educator Justin Tarte
So very glad that she was my teacher for life!! She taught us all so much, but more importantly she truly cared for ALL of us throughout the years!! Many coaches are there for you during your playing days/years. Adele cared for each & every student, regardless of ability . . . and continued to care for us throughout her life!! I am eternally grateful to have known, and been able to play for such an outstanding woman! Many fond memories . . . Ursinus, Merestead, Cape Cod, New Zealand & everything inbetween!!! RIP Adele ❤️

I've known Adele since 1967 when I was the Secretary to the Athletic Department at Ursinus College. Della, there is no way to thank you for all you did since October, taking such excellent care of Adele and letting her friends take this sad journey with you. I cannot believe she is gone - I, too, thought she would live forever. She never changed - only her hair color changed! I will miss her even though we have only seen each other a few times each year. Adele was a beloved member of our Ursinus "Lunch Bunch", I think since it was started many years ago. We are an odd mix of Ursinus people - secretaries, administrators, people who were associated with Ursinus in some way....some of us who worked full-time, part-time, retirees, still working, etc. We meet a few times a year. We would be delighted to have you join us for one of our lunches. I will let you know when the next one is. I'm sure most of us will be at the picnic in May to pay honor to our wonderful friend.....who incidentally made the best cheesecake I have ever eaten!
